DESCRIPTION
A rocking chair assembled using a Tesla front driver seat.
Once associated with naps and quiet moments, the rocking chair has become a rare presence in daily life. Advances in technology have reshaped not only how we move, but also how we rest.
Today, rest no longer means stopping. It takes place while in motion, often found in brief pauses between destinations.
By bringing together elements from different times, this work reflects on how the meaning of rest has changed, and how the slow, repetitive sway that once defined the motion of rest no longer aligns with the pace of modern life.
