The Bow Chair is constructed from bent walnut forming three curved bow shaped backrests. One of these is wrapped with a white leather strap, while the frame is supported by stainless steel.

DESCRIPTION
The Bow Chair draws from the medieval longbow, a weapon once crafted for hunting and warfare. By shifting its function from shooting to sitting, the work explores how an act of violence can be redefined through the act of sitting.
The chair reinterprets the bowโs inherent tension, allowing that tension itself to become the structure of sitting. What once was drawn for release is now sustained as form.
