DESCRIPTION
An umbrella is typically designed to block what comes from above. In this work, that logic is reversed. Rather than shielding what lies beneath it, the structure allows light to pass through the stained glass.
Each piece has its own shape, color, and texture. As light passes through them, it takes on different qualities. Though the light itself remains the same, it is perceived differently through each piece.
